Iced Earth is my all-time favorite band. The are amazing. I have an Iced Earth Tattoo on the back of my right forearm. This tattooo is of this character; a Setian named Set Abominae. They are so full of passion and aggresion. It's the perfect blend of heart, melody and madness. I feel like I have a special bond with this band. The sound, to me, is intoxicating. I hear it and get lost in the world this is Iced Earth.
Jon Schaffer is the creator/leader/owner of the band and has a mind like no other. With the exception of, basically, treating his bandmates like employees, he's an amazing person and musicin. His sound is like no other. He grew up playing his own tunes, not covers. That's what sets him apart from the rest.
Iced Earth has gotten me through some hard times. There have been times where I was Uber-pissed at something and I would get into my car to take a drive. I would throw on Iced Earth and wash all my worries about. I would get so pumped listening to them. It's almost euphoric.
Another band that is nery special to me is none other than Iron Maiden. The are, arguably, the best Rock/Metal band EVER. I love these guys. I am going to see them in 4 days in LA with my uncle.
There last 3 albums are my 3 favorite.
There is too much to write here to explain all my feelings about Iron Maiden.
